Product Spotlight: Kokatat Updates Icon and Hydrus 3.0 Dry Suits for Spring 2023

ARCATA, CA – For Spring 2023 Kokatat has updated its Icon rear entry suit and its Hydrus 3.0 suits.  All the suits received multiple pattern updates, while the Icon gets the additional update of GORE-TEX PRO® fabrics.

“Fit and durability are the keys to our updates for Spring 2023,” said Jeff Turner, Kokatat Director of Sales. “The new materials and patterns in these suites will allow paddlers to paddle further and fish longer more comfortably.”

The new Icon retains the same popular rear entry system as the original, but with the upgrade of GORE-TEX PRO fabric and pattern updates in the leg.  The new pattern provides better articulation in the legs for improved fit when seated in a boat and easier movement when portaging. The women’s version includes new routing of the drop-seat zipper that not only provides a better fit, but also meshes better with outfitting for improved in-boat comfort.  These updates also gave the Icon new style lines for a more contemporary look.

Multiple styles in Kokatat’s 3-layer Hydrus 3.0 line also received updates. The Hydrus 3.0 Meridian for 2023 gets new patterning updates that make its fit more consistent with the GORE-TEX PRO version.  Along with better articulation in the legs and the improved drop seat pattern for the women’s styles, the 2023 Hydrus Meridian has 330 denier Hydrus Tough material in the seat and knees for additional durability.

Hydrus Swift Entry dry suit also receives Hydrus Tough material in its seat and knees for 2023, as well as an upgrade in its collar and cuffs with latex gaskets with neoprene punch throughs.

Rounding out the Hydrus updates for 2023 is the SuperNova Angler Semi-Dry suit which will now be offered in Hydrus 3.0 and will have Hydrus Tough in its lap, seat, knees and elbows.

The upgraded Kokatat dry suits will be available at Kokatat dealers nationwide and on Kokatat.com starting in early 2023.

About Kokatat Inc.
Kokatat has been manufacturing paddling gear in Arcata, California for over 50 years. At a time when many technical apparel brands were moving manufacturing offshore, Kokatat continued to invest in infrastructure in the United States. Kokatat founder Steve O’Meara was committed to the development of the finest and driest paddling apparel in the world and recognized the need to control and continually evolve the development of our dry wear. In the early days, Kokatat worked closely with W.L. Gore & Associates, makers of GORE-TEX®, to refine the sewing and sealing techniques required for full immersion suits and tops. Today, our hands-on approach to manufacturing continues to set the standard in paddling apparel. Into the water with Kokatat! Learn more at kokatat.com.
